What is ketosis?

It seems that the benefits of ketosis are linked to the progress of various diseases. Under PubMed you can already find over 300 studies. One can see the constant interest in this field of research. The treatment of epilepsy for children is the most frequently researched area (swissepi / German Epilepsy Association). The University Hospital Basel is currently investigating the use of exogenous ketones as a prophylaxis for migraine patients. The scientist and expert Ulrike Krämer is convinced that "a ketogenic diet changes the metabolism and helps many patients".

What is to be said against that?
The ketogenic diet or nutrition is clearly in vogue, as the results speak for themselves, as mentioned above. However, the ketogenic diet must be followed very strictly and is not very easy to implement. In some cases, it is not even recommended to follow this form of diet for a longer period of time. Moreover, the "opponents" carbohydrates / glucose are contained in many products and let us fall out of ketosis very quickly. Which definitely acts as an inhibition threshold.
Are there simple alternatives to get into the state of ketosis?
