Regeneration and sleep are just as important in biohacking as the optimal micro- and macronutrient intake. In the following, we would like to give an overview of the potential of this topic.

Important to know: It is not always just about "even more" and "even higher". You don't have to be a professional athlete to be interested in the topic of biohacking. Just imagine: In the morning the alarm clock rings and instead of fighting your way out of bed and preferring to stay in bed all day, you get up full of energy and look forward to everything that is coming.

Just imagine: In the afternoon at the meeting, you are fully focused, receptive and able to get involved instead of fighting against dozing off.

Just imagine: You're in a good mood and you're calm and cheerful, even when your kids try to drive you crazy. Your nerves are made of steel and you enjoy it.

Just imagine: You come home from work in the evening. Instead of being exhausted and bawling in front of the TV, you still have enough energy to do something with your kids.

Just imagine: You can fall asleep quickly in bed in the evening, sleep through the night without interruption and lying awake, and be truly rested in the morning.

All this can happen when your body has what it needs. When YOU know what your body needs and YOU listen to it.
All this can be achieved with biohacking.

What about the science
The science is more and more interested in the topic of biohacking. From diseases of civilization, which occur due to malnutrition or wrong nutrition up to neurodegenerative diseases in old age. Ketosis is a primordial state of the human body, which is reached, for example, by fasting or by practicing a longer and very intensive endurance sport. In the state of ketosis, the body draws energy indirectly from the fat deposits and causes fat to be lost. This provides the body with the purest source of energy. This allows us to perform for a long time and evenly in everyday life without having an afternoon down or a craving for sweets. 
What are your advantages?
Maybe you already know the ketogenic diet. This is a very high-fat form of nutrition in which carbs are almost completely avoided. This form of nutrition is not easy to implement in our everyday life. The result is however remarkable:

What do science experts say?
The condition of ketosis, which is achieved by the ketogenic diet, is being studied and researched for a long time. It seems that the benefits of ketosis are linked to the progress of various diseases. Under PubMed you can already find over 300 studies. One can see the constant interest in this field of research. The treatment of epilepsy for children is the most frequently researched area (swissepi / German Epilepsy Association). The University Hospital Basel is currently investigating the use of exogenous ketones as a prophylaxis for migraine patients. The scientist and expert Ulrike Krämer is convinced that "a ketogenic diet changes the metabolism and helps many patients".

What is to be said against that?
The ketogenic diet or nutrition is clearly in vogue, as the results speak for themselves, as mentioned above. However, the ketogenic diet must be followed very strictly and is not very easy to implement. In some cases, it is not even recommended to follow this form of diet for a longer period of time. Moreover, the "opponents" carbohydrates / glucose are contained in many products and let us fall out of ketosis very quickly. Which definitely acts as an inhibition threshold.

Are there simple alternatives to get into the state of ketosis?
Researchers and scientists have long been developing a method to get into ketosis more easily. Now, some time ago, they have succeeded in producing bioavailable, natural and vegan exogenous ketones (the world's first 100% bioavailable R-BHB / β-Beta-Hydroxybutyrate in the right-turning form). The result was fascinating... Not only more energy, but also increased concentration brought me effortlessly through my everyday life. I now actively participated in activities such as meetings, where I used to almost fall asleep. I was able to hold out longer during sports without my muscles becoming exhausted afterwards.
But it is not only the energy that is so fascinating about the exogenous ketones, it is also the positive aura that generates it. Better mood and more motivation are only two of the "side effects".
After consuming the ketos for two months, I quickly dropped 7 kilograms. The only negative point for me was the availability at that time, because you had to order it directly from America.

For this reason I had a closer look to the ketogenic diet. I already was not a fan of sugar before, but from that point on I completely cut it out of my life. After a short time, the previously beloved sweets and baked goods only disgusted me as they were laying sticky on the supermarket shelves. After pasta I still feel full and all bad the next day. I just thought to myself, how could you live in such a state for so long? So pasta and the rest of the carbohydrates flew out of the shopping list and after that there was only ketogenic cooking.

It is not easy to get into ketosis with the ketogenic diet. Most people do not consume enough healthy fats. Others eat too many carbohydrates or proteins. From that point of view, this diet is a big change at the beginning. Especially since this diet is a complete contrast to what we have learned about nutrition since school. In order to get into this phase more easily, I additionally took MCT oil. This oil helps you to get better into ketosis. Better- but not easier. You mix the oil with butter and coffee and then you have a so-called Bulletproof Coffee. Admittedly, this brings energy and prevents the feeling of hunger for at least 4-5 hours.
Well, that sounds quite simple, if it weren't for the stomach cramps from the MCT. The oil is like a natural antibiotic and already after half an hour you feel the "effect". In the beginning you can get diarrhea. With the time it should become more pleasant. I still have stomach cramps after 4 months when I take the oil. Maybe this was also because I chose a pure C8 oil.

Short explanation of MCT:
MCT are medium-chain triglycerides (compound of fats and oils). They are available in the variants C6, C8, C10, C12. The number describes the number of C atoms in the chain.
  • C6 is unpopular; it tastes rotten and usually leads to stomach and intestinal problems.
  • C8 is the most valuable oil and is actually pure energy. One tablespoon of C8 is said to bring as much energy as 18 spoons of coconut oil.
  • C10 is metabolized more slowly, but is popular for combination with C8.
  • C12, on the other hand, is cheap and easy to produce. And above all it is less effective. This MCT is good for the intestinal flora, but you also absorb a lot of it when you cook with coconut oil, for example.

The conclusion of the ketogenic diet:
I lost another 8 kilos in about 2 months. So I lost a total of 15 kg. Of course this is fantastic, but still quite tough and tedious. [Which diet isn’t tough…]
Fortunately I only eat in the evening otherwise the result would be quite different. You can't just go to the supermarket or restaurant/cafeteria at noon; you would always have to take your food with you. If you forget it, you have nothing. This can also be a challenge on the road or on holiday.
Another negative point are the complaints caused by the MCT oil. In a report I also learned that C8 kills bacteria and viruses and after a longer period of time it can be counterproductive for the intestinal flora. Whether this is true or not, I cannot say.

On the whole, I feel better than before, of course. But not as good as with exogenous ketone bodies. The diet and the oil put me into ketosis, but not as strong and easy as with exogenous ketones.
Last but not least, the simplicity. The diet is quite difficult for me to implement. Especially because the understanding of other people is not there for such a diet. What is this filth? It only gives you a Jojo effect! Are you crazy, eating only fat? Let's go to the MC Donalds! Let's go get a drought for lunch! ... These are just some of the statements the general public is making. They don't get it and unintentionally drag you back into the vortex. It takes a lot of mental strength to do that.

With exogenous ketones, the situation is quite different. It is simple, prepared in 30 seconds and arouses curiosity rather than rejection in people.

Therefore, after the two test phases I turn back to exogenous ketones. But I still keep the MCT oil in my back pocket for a little variety or to "clean up".

The AMITYlife team has tested it. We did a detox for 60 hours, almost 3 days. Most people shy away from the idea of not eating anything and miss the perfect opportunity to detox. It is very valuable for the body to do this from time to time, as the body can concentrate on cleansing or regeneration and rejuvenation.
For the detox we used natural ketogenic products, which brought us directly into ketosis within approximately 45 minutes and thus the energy for our organism was gained through ketone bodies and our body fat.

Pack contents (mixed flavors):
  • Cell regenerating C-MED-100
  • 4 NAT with caffeine
  • 4 NAT without caffeine
  • 4 soups
  • 1 protein sachets
  • 2 electrolyte sachets

The start was on Sunday evening at 20:00. Which means that we had a light meal and the cell regenerating C-MED-100.

On Monday morning we drank our Ayurvedic water as usual to shower the intestines from the inside and to remove the waste products. Afterwards the C-MED 100 together with the electrolyte powder was on the program again.

At about 9:00 the first NAT with caffeine was due according to the instructions. Here it is important to mention that the NAT's not only contain pure R-BHB's (bioavailable ketone bodies) but also the DNA rejuvenating Cmed 100. This is really awesome for our body and cells. The water-soluble powder can be prepared with a simple shaker and is taken within 15 - 45 minutes.

At noon the first keto soup with thyme flavor was on the menu and at 15:00 again a NAT without caffeine.

In the evening there was again a keto soup with onion flavor. In between, at least 2-3 liters of pure water were drunk so that toxins and body waste products could be easily removed and eliminated.

The Tuesday and Wednesday morning took place in exactly the same rhythm. The only difference on this morning was the intake of the protein powder. So it was very easy to implement and the benefit of ketosis was enormous.

In Germany, it is assumed that up to nine million people suffer from migraine, in Switzerland up to one million. Statistically speaking, women are affected about three times as often as men.
From an ayurvedic point of view, migraine is caused by malnutrition. Dry, cold and acidic food, excessive physical effort, high stress factors, trauma, tension, deep-seated aggression and other emotions can be the cause.

Assignment of the symptoms to the Doshas
Vata: high sensitivity to noise, flickering eyes, possible neurological deficits
Pitta: sensitivity to light, heartburn, burning sensation of heat
Kapha: nausea, vomiting, feeling of heaviness in head and body

Astonishing, at the beginning sceptical but motivated. I noted down my weight and took my measurements.
After only 5 days I was surprised how much I lost in girth.
arms -2 cm
legs -1 cm
Belly -0.5 cm
waist -3.5 cm
Chest -2 cm
Weight -0.6 kg
Of course this motivated me even more to continue. The results on day 10
arms -2 cm
legs -1.5 cm

weight +0.4 kg
Although I have gained in weight, what counts in the end is the size. The result obviously astonished me. I will now try to pay more attention to my girth than to my weight.
